Hannah and Jack’s story started long before their L’Auberge Del Mar wedding; it started at one of the West Coast’s most treasured locations– In N’ Out. An auspicious– and delicious– beginning to their relationship, their story and wedding day are one that you won’t want to miss out on.
Early in the day, we got to capture one of their– and our– most cherished moments; the moment that both Jack and Hannah got to see one another for the first time since they had gotten ready. With all of the hustle and bustle of getting ready, it was magical getting to see how all of their stress seemingly melted away into excitement and pure glee the second that Jack turned around and they got to see one another.
This calmness and joy carried them throughout the day into their ceremony. Their vows filled with perfectly timed jokes and joy, Hannah even joked that she’d always root against the teams that Jack covered as a sports writer so that she could spend as much time with him as she could.
Working with Melissa of Sweet Blossom Weddings, Jack and Hannah planned a day full of moments where they got to sneak away to celebrate on their own, but also create cherished memories with their family; something that ended up being one of our absolute favorite parts of their wedding. From Jack’s dad performing the ceremony to an all-star performance by Hannah’s mother and her friend inspired by Donna and the Dynamos from Mamma Mia, their families created moments where they were able to share their love not only for their own children, but also their partner and the relationship that had formed over the years.
It wasn’t just their families who poured their hearts out at this L’Auberge Del Mar Wedding. From friends who had known them since high school to newer friends who had met Hannah & Jack from their jobs, there was no shortage of happy tears or toasts that had tears of laughter being wiped from eyes amongst the crowd. One, Scott Ohashi, was even there to document the entire day for them, deftly capturing every moment.
As Jack and Hannah sat at their table surrounded by beautiful flowers by Studio Fleurish, friend after friend came up to toast– or lovingly roast– their friends. Some toasts were so good that it was even jokingly speculated that Jack and Hannah had hired them, despite knowing they had been some of Jack and Hannah’s best friends for years.
After touching toasts and iconic performances, it was time to celebrate on the dance floor as Dancing DJ Productions brought everyone out to dance throughout the night. With glow-sticks and more, the dance floor of this L’Auberge Del Mar wedding was filled with color. There wasn’t a single guest who didn’t make their way on the dance floor throughout the night as the lights flashed.
The final shining moment of this L’Auberge Del Mar wedding perfectly planned by the couple and Melissa of Sweet Blossom Weddings? A bubble exit, as Jack and Hannah exited the function, surrounded by bubbles both blown and bubble-gunned by their friends and families. The perfect end to the night, suiting the bubbly and loveable personalities of Jack and Hannah, the two ran through the crowd as they were finally married.
To Jack and Hannah– we’re so happy for you, and we’re even more glad that the Dodgers lost so you had a little time to step back and savor your wedding day. Electric, beautiful, and absolutely perfect, we are so grateful that we got to capture your wedding day. From your sense of humor to your kind, sweet personalities to how fun you are, it’s no wonder why you’re both surrounded by so much love– and we hope that the deepest love is the one shared by you two. We will be keeping our “Fingers Crossed” that every day is filled with as much love, laughter, and happiness as your L’Auberge Del Mar wedding day was.
