We are SO excited to share this beautiful Hotel Del Coronado family portrait session featuring one of our amazing previous couples, Jane & Shel, and their new family. A session that reminds us just how magical it is to take the time to step back and capture these precious memories, we know you’ll love it just as much as we do!
It was 2016 when our studio owner, Erin, first met Jane & Shel when they chose her and her husband, Jeff (The Youngrens) to capture their wedding day at L’Auberge Del Mar. A couple that Erin immediately clicked with, when Jane recently sent us a message about capturing their family, Erin said a wholehearted “YES!” to producing some gorgeous portraits.
While Jane & Shel live and work in Washington D.C., they have San Diego etched on their hearts as a place that holds many precious memories for them, so it was only fitting that they returned to this special place to create new memories with their two adorable boys.
Planning the session, Jane & Shel knew they wanted a beautiful beach setting that just radiated San Diego– and what better place to do so than the Hotel Del Coronado? An iconic location, it had plenty of places to capture their moments plus a stunning seaside view to capture their family with.
Meeting Ren, their sweet four year old who is a bundle of emotions and energy, and Rhys, the newest addition to the family who recently mastered crawling, brought up ALL of the feelings for Erin during their Hotel Del Coronado family portrait session.
Getting to see them, together as a family as they laughed, embraced, and watched their two adorable boys explore, was just the perfect reminder of why we love our job. From capturing one of the most important days of Jane & Shel’s lives to capturing these big moments as they step forth into parenthood and grow their family, we’ve been let in to capture moments that both they and we treasure.
One of our favorite moments was getting to see how Ren loved to help his little brother, Rhys, smile and pose for the camera. As he played with him, evoking genuine smiles and laughter out of the two of them, it just showed what an AMAZING big brother he is– and what an endearing, vibrant personality he already has. And Rhys? We could not get enough of his adorable laughter echoing in the air as he played with leaves and crawled along the beach with his family during their Hotel Del Coronado family portrait session.
To Jane & Shel; we are so, so, so grateful that we’ve been able to continue to capture your story. Being able to catch up & hear all the amazing things that you’ve been up to and getting to meet your two beautiful (and SO sweet) sons was something that we’ll always treasure. We’re sending alllll of our love, and keeping all our fingers & toes crossed we get to see you again soon!
