When we first met Ben & Arianne, we knew that walking with them through the journey to their Lodge at Torrey Pines wedding would be one that we’d treasure. From our first call hearing about their first date, an impromptu date at a bar where Ben, in his collared shirt, met Arianne, dressed as a pirate coming from her sorority party to their proposal featuring a surprise flight to San Francisco, their story is absolutely magical. And their beautiful Lodge at Torrey Pines wedding day? The perfect culmination to their fairytale story.

With all details perfectly planned with the help of their amazing planner, Keli of Monarch Weddings, Arianne & Ben began their day surrounded by their closest friends, able to sit back & get even more excited for the day ahead of them. Sipping rosé and cracking jokes, the two of them prepared; Ben getting his cufflinks fastened while Arianne & her best friends got their hair and makeup done by the talented hand of the Beauty by Stacey team.

And finally, the time had come for the ceremony. As Farro pranced down the aisle, the perfect little ring bearer greeting everyone along the aisle, Ben stood at the altar waiting for Arianne to make her way down. As she floated down the aisle decorated by Le Champagne Projects in elegant florals, there was hardly a dry eye in the audience– and it was only two lines into her own vows, that Arianne joined everyone as happy tears welled in her eyes.

The words shared throughout their beautiful Lodge at Torrey Pines wedding day were one of the highlights of our day. From beautiful vows where amongst heartfelt promises, Ben shared that he vowed to never be this intimate in front of this many people ever again with a chuckle to amazing toasts by their parents, we had the HARDEST time not laughing and tearing up alongside everyone attending.

One of our favorite moments, however, was a toast by Arianne’s maid of honor, as she recounted a story from the early days of their friendship. After after weeks of silence after a fight, Arianne walked up to her friend and handed her a basket of homemade cookies as a way to reach out and save what would become the most important friendship they both had, and showing the importance and strength of reaching out. Hearing about the kindness and love that Arianne has had for all throughout her life from this story shared by one of her dearest friends absolutely melted our hearts.

This joy was a theme present throughout the day at Ben & Arianne’s wedding; entering the reception, they were greeted with napkins raised and twirled by their friends & family as they entered the room, cheers echoing throughout the room. And as the evening of their wedding went on, the only moment we think was even louder was the cheers when the cold sparks went off during their perfectly practiced first dance, a perfect touch by the talented Monarch Weddings team.

And at the end of the night? We had so much fun watching them dance with their friends and family including an amazing rendition of the Cupid Shuffle led by Jenise, that as we listened to the Republic of Music, their incredible band, we only realized that our time there had finished when we looked at our watch! As we left the venue, our hearts were SO full from getting to see all of the beautiful moments shared between Ben, Arianne, and their loved ones, and the only thing we could think was that this was the perfect day for them to begin the rest of their lives together as husband & wife.

To Ben & Arianne; we cannot say how incredibly thankful that you let us capture this part of your story, and that we were able to be their for your beautiful Lodge at Torrey Pines wedding day. As we’ve gotten to know you two and your sweet hearts, we have come to think of you as a part of our close-knit Clove & Kin family– and cannot say how lucky we feel that Keli lead you to us. From our time spent getting to know you & even learning more from the heart-touching toasts that your friends and family give, we know that time will only grow the beautiful bond between the two of you, as you create your own adventures, explore more restaurants, and support one another throughout the journey ahead.
