Growing up, so many of us dream of marrying the cute boy next door; the guy that we admire from afar– and this incredible Torrey Pines Reserve engagement session? The stuff of childhood crushes, dreams, and storybooks– and we promise you won’t want to miss out on Anna and Isaac’s story.
Growing up in Poway, Anna and Isaac always had known each other; they just barely knew one another. For almost fifteen years, they’d crossed paths yet really never gotten to interact; while Isaac was Anna’s best friend’s older brother, they had never managed to bump into one another for more than just a few minutes or more than a family dinner.
It wasn’t until just over five years ago when Anna was invited to her best friend’s family vacation when she got to spend more time with Isaac. And when the two reunited, years later from when they had first met as children? Things changed. As Isaac and Anna spent time together on the trip with Isaac’s family, the two realized that not only did Isaac and Anna get along incredibly well, but they couldn’t stop sneaking a glimpse of one another.
After years of thinking of Isaac as just her best friend’s older brother, she had finally started to think of him as just Isaac, the guy who knew how to make her laugh. And unbeknownst to her, Isaac had realized something similar; Anna, the girl who he had watched laugh and goof around with his younger sister, was actually someone who he wanted to get to know better– and who he liked.
While their relationship grew, they realized how much they absolutely loved one spending time one another. Whether they were simply sitting down at home with their dogs, at Isaac’s parent’s house, at the Zoo, or simply catching a movie together, every single thing that they did, everything was simply better together.
The way that Isaac committed fully to every little thing he does, despite it being nearly impossible (and a little frustrating) for Anna to get his attention? Something Anna wouldn’t change for the world. The way that Isaac felt as though he could trust his life with Anna, and the way she’s consistently considerate of everyone around her? Something Isaac couldn’t live without. And that’s when he chose to finally take the next step– and propose to the person who he knew made his life better, who made him happier, and who made every day brighter.
During this Torrey Pines Reserve engagement session, we got to see exactly how the two interacted– and how well that they knew one another, as they were able to help one another live in the moment and enjoy the trail. Despite living in Poway, this was the first time that they had hiked it– and they were ready to take full advantage of this opportunity, looking at the stunning views before them and enjoy every single second as they trekked along the trail.
And as they stood for their individual portraits at the top of the trail? Both Anna and Isaac made it a challenge to see who could make their partner have the bigger smile. And as we looked at them giggling and laughing during this Torrey Pines Reserve engagement session, with Anna spinning and twirling as we got onto the beach, we realized what an incredibly special and sweet couple we had gotten to work with– and how much we couldn’t wait to work alongside with them to capture every moment of their journey.
