This Point Loma Naval Base wedding was one that had us personally tearing up– even as we write it, and we can’t wait to share it with you all. From the beginning, Camille and Keenan had our hearts– and we’re absolutely sure that they’ll have yours too. We can’t thank Jasmine of Sweet Blossom Weddings enough for bringing us yet another INCREDIBLE couple– and for organizing a wedding that both they loved– and we loved to photograph.
When we first brought up whether or not they wanted to do a first look, Camille and Keenan knew– they wanted to do it somewhere special where they could create a memory for the two of them. And that place for this Point Loma Naval Base wedding? Cabrillo National Monument.
One of Keenan’s favorite places in San Diego, they knew that it had to be there. And it was jaw-droppingly sweet getting to see them finally get to see one another there in such a special place for them, walking across the pathway to one another as it seemed like they were the only people in the universe despite the other people there. It seemed like Keenan’s eyes were sparkling the way that he looked at Camille with such love and adoration, seeing her in her dress for the first time.
When we got to the ceremony for this Point Loma Naval Base wedding, it was filled with special touches that rung true to who both Camille and Keenan are. Whether it was them washing one another’s feet, as they imitated Jesus and how his purpose was to serve, just as they planned to serve one another, or how they spoke to one another, clearly and unabashedly pronouncing their love in front of their families and friends.
Surrounded by beautiful floral arrangements by Blooms Design House, the two finally were able to celebrate with their friends and family– and getting to see that is a moment we’ll treasure forever.
A detail that we didn’t expect from this Point Loma Naval Base wedding? Getting to see a grown flower man. As he entered the dance floor before Camille and Keenan, he spent his time sprinkling flowers around the dance floor and entry pathway, dancing around like he knew this was his moment. Something that left everyone at the wedding laughing and simply enjoying the moment, we loved getting to see everyone enjoy an unexpected– and unforgettable– moment of Camille and Keenan’s Point Loma Naval Base wedding.
From the band they had made up of Camille’s father’s friends who had watched her grow up to David Kindness, the videographer who was Camille and Keenan’s friend, it seemed like everyone at this wedding absolutely adored the two. And it was not hard to understand why– from the way they took care of everyone at their wedding to who they were, Camille and Keenan seemed to radiate kindness, love, and joy.
Something that really struck us throughout this Point Loma Naval Base wedding was the bond that Keenan and Camille shared with their family– and the different ways that it showed throughout the event. From Keenan’s dance with his mother and how they swirled around the dance floor to Camille’s father toasting to them, saying that he trusted Keenan to take care of Camille because of how he took care of his mother and the women in his family, it was something that left us with slightly blurry eyes behind our viewfinders.
This was something just so special for us; as a brand (and as the people who work at it), family is so incredibly important to us. Getting to witness a family and couple that were so loving towards everyone there was something that we wouldn’t pass up for the world.
To Camille and Keenan; thank you, thank you, thank you for letting us be a part of your big day. From the way that you two emanate love and adoration to one another to the way that you included everyone you love in every aspect of your wedding (flower man included), we cannot be more grateful that we were able to capture your big day. We send you alllll of our best wishes, and know that you’ll be happy for years to come– especially with the way Keenan’s eyes seem to sparkle every single time he looks at you, Camille.
