If you happen to love dogs– and absolutely heart melting love stories– we promise you that the story behind this Marian Bear Park engagement session will satisfy both love. Because sometimes fate intervenes– and sometimes others introduce you; for Dena and Anthony, it was both, thanks to their adorable dogs.
The first time they ran into one another, they had both taken a large step in their lives by deciding to adopt a dog– Nina had rescued a chihuahua, Anthony had adopted an English Bulldog puppy– and both of the brand new dog parents decided to treat their dog to a trip to the dog park.
But what they weren’t expecting? To find their newest crush on the person across the dog park that day. After that day, the two would see each other every once in a while across the park, and slowly their crushes grew bigger and bigger, until suddenly one day they stopped running into one another.
It wasn’t for a few months that the two ran into one another again; with conflicting and hectic schedules, neither had managed to show up at the park as the same time as the other and it seemed like all was lost for these two star-crossed lovers– until one fateful day when Anthony happened to walk into the dog park and see Dena and her dog playing around.
And Anthony? He knew that he wasn’t going to miss his chance with Dena, so he found the closest thing he could write on and wrote a note that would change the course of their lives forever. That one note, written on a Starbucks napkin, was the beginning of a long and happy relationship– with plenty of dates to the dog park.
It was one fateful dog park trip when Anthony decided to finally pop the question– and Dena immediately said yes! After both moving to San Diego, they had finally found their chosen family, and the person who could help them be their best person and balance one another out. Dena was the organizer who could balance Anthony’s laid back and relaxed side, the optimist to balance out his realist mindset.
One of our favorite aspects about our couples is how they’re often best friends and how well they suit each other like Dena and Anthony. How our couples are able to make one another laugh and simply enjoy the time they get to spend together like how Dena and Anthony did during their Marian Bear Park engagement Session, it makes spending time with them truly so special.
Without their dogs, Anthony and Dena might have never crossed paths, but one day changed their lives forever– and they’ll always remember it! That’s why when we talked to them, we knew we had to go somewhere where we could include their dogs. We loved getting to see Anthony and Dena goof around with their dogs during this Marian Bear Park engagement Session.
And to cap off a truly memorable engagement session? We headed to Scripps Pier to capture some truly incredible photos. With Scripps Pier a truly iconic San Diego location, we wanted to celebrate the city where Dena and Anthony were able to meet. It was so much fun getting to walk around, and
