It was on the first date that Rob & Cristina knew that they were a true match as the two of them left their first day reluctantly. Filled with spirited conversations and budding inside jokes, there was an undeniable spark that left them wanting the night to never end. And by date number two? Rob just knew– he loved Cristina, and the way she laughed and lit up the room with her infectious smile.
It wasn’t long before he proposed; not wanting to go another moment without making her his fiancée. And Cristina? She was still pinching herself that she had found someone as kind, caring, and funny as Rob.
When the day had come, everything had been carefully planned by Andrea of Heart & Sol Events to make a wedding day worthy of their fairytale story. As Cristina got ready alongside her son and daughter for her intimate Park Hyatt Aviara wedding, details were fine-tuned and set for the moment she’d walk down the aisle.
Wanting to be reminded of the small moments and people who were unable to be there, Rob and Cristina both added special touches to their outfits the day of. Wanting her parents to be there every step of the way, Cristina chose to wear her mother’s earrings and handkerchief while Rob honored her father by wearing his cufflinks, and one of their first conversations turned inside jokes by wearing dog-print socks. Delicate and sweet details so that they would be be reminded of these bonds, we loved how they individually chose to highlight those important to them at their intimate Park Hyatt Aviara wedding.
Surrounded by a beautiful flower arch by Parker & Posies, Rob & Cristina stood, finally at the moment where they’d be able to become man and wife. With the sun finally peeking out from the clouds above them, Cristina recited her vows– but what was to come brought tears to even our eyes.
Rob, who hadn’t known much Spanish before their wedding day, had practiced and learned his vows in Spanish so all of Cristina’s family would understand and know how much he loved her. As Cristina stood before him, tears welling in her eyes, he told her how much she meant to him, and how he’d be with her every step of the way.
It was pure joy as they walked down the aisle together, finally married and surrounded by friends and family– and yet one of our favorite moments? Getting to see them step back and savor the moment alone as they took their couples’ portraits around the property. Finally getting to bask in the moment and let every little detail of their day, Cristina and Rob’s smiles covered their face as they let it sink in that they finally had their happily ever after come true.
