Grace’s editorial bridal portraits are what we DREAM of— and we think that you’ll absolutely fall in love with the photos that we took on our cyclorama in our studio space, Skylight Studios!
When Grace’s wedding coordinator, Veronica Carr of Type A Soiree, first reached out to us on behalf of Grace, we were so bummed to hear that she hadn’t gotten as many photos as she wanted of her gown on her actual wedding day from the wedding photographer she had hired — but we were THRILLED to get a chance to work alongside her to create the perfect photographs to show off her beautiful gown! Funny, smart, and kind, Grace is a total dreamie for us.
Working with Grace, we began to narrow down exactly the mood and location that she wanted for her beautiful bridal portraits. As she already had images from her family’s beautiful church and a stunning Coronado ceremony, Grace had decided that she wanted to take a different approach— a beautiful editorial bridal portrait session inspired by a few photos that she had seen while planning her wedding!
During the day of, we worked our best to make sure that Grace felt as beautiful as she did on her wedding day. Throwing on some fun music to dance around, sing along, and pose to, we got to photographing her dream editorial bridal portraits. A total natural as a Miss Teen Southern California (and with a beautiful singing voice to boot with her experience singing in her church’s choir), we worked with different lighting to capture a variety of images for Grace to choose from.
We even got the chance to recreate a couple of photographs from her mother’s wedding day as her mom looked on— *cue teary eyes behind our viewfinder* — and capture a few beautiful mother-daughter portraits at the end of the day!
Getting to photograph editorial bridal portraits of Grace in her wedding dress was such a fun way to spend our day— and we’re so thrilled that Veronica connected Grace to us.
