The first time Natalie saw James on their campus at Point Loma Nazarene University, she thought he was pretty stinkin’ cute. It was her first day as a transfer student, and she was even more giddy when she found out James was a Criminal Justice major, just like she was! To James, Natalie was first the “cute guard-shack girl.” Each time he’d drive onto their campus, she’d smile and wave from the guard shack, and he’d smile in his heart.
But… they waited. Their “crush-from-afar” stayed put for a while, until one semester, when Natalie found out they’d have three classes together. Cue the excitement! She trusted that it if was meant to be, God would weave their stories together… and suddenly they turned from classmates to crushes-who-hang-out, to two crazy-sweet people in love. Two years later, James was down on one knee, asking Natalie to marry him in her family’s living room. He totally knew the way to her heart, and part of that was including her family in on this once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Although she is very organized, put-together, and poised, Natalie was alllll squeals with her girlies as she anticipated seeing her man at the First Look. And how could we NOT swoon when seeing James (who was a total goofball with his guys) melt like a soft-serve cone in the sunshine when Natalie tapped him on the shoulder? #softies!
The lovely, intimate garden at The Thursday Club was the perfect setting for James and Natalie’s vows. We were witness to the incredibly supportive crew around their relationship, and like Natalie’s maid of honor, April, said – there is no one Natalie trusts more than James. More than that, there’s no one April trusts to take care of Natalie forever.
What a privilege to be part of your day, Natalie and James! Wishing you SO much happiness!
