They flew from Chicago to San Diego to say ‘I do’ just steps away from the ocean.
Their closest family and friends dug their toes into the sand around them, and it was the perfect, relaxed, intimate wedding scene that Halley and Mikey had dreamed of.
Halley and Mikey started the day at the iconic La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, where we spent those precious moments with him tying up his (awesome) blue suede shoes, and her clasping her beautifully delicate jewelry around her neck.
It was clear that each detail was intentionally simple, meaningful, and reflective of their story.
Like Halley’s amazingly epic wildflower bouquet? Every single flower was chosen for a reason.
It had Larkspur for the name of the street she grew up on, and Cotton Buds to honor her grandpa’s old cotton gin. There was even Thistle to commemorate Halley and Mikey’s shared love of Braveheart! Kelly of Buds & Blooms did a beautiful job of incorporating olive, eucalyptus, wax flower, belladonna, clover, scabiosa and MORE to complete Halley’s vision. SO GORGEOUS!
As if the florals weren’t enough eye-candy for us, their first sunset as husband & wife was unreaaaaal! Halley and Mikey loved that golden light, and it loved THEM right back! It was the perfect moment for them to stroll along the coastline and soak up their first moments of marriage.
These two warmed our hearts with their huge smiles, and we know they’re going to melt your hearts, too! Halley and Mikey – we are soooo stinkin’ happy for you guys! Your day was absolutely perfect, and we walked away with full hearts – thank you for welcoming us into it!
