Over four decades ago, Jen’s mother carried a special beaded white purse on her wedding day… and that day was the beginning of a forty-four year (and counting!) marriage.
Throughout Jen’s life, she’s looked to the example of her parents’ enduring marriage – she’s seen them stay strong through whatever life threw at them. When she had her eyes out for a guy of her own, she knew she wanted someone to grow old with… and she was willing to wait for the right guy.
So on her wedding day, Jen carried that same little beaded purse. It filled the role of “something borrowed” – but more than that, it was a piece of her parent’s legacy. A legacy that she would also carry with grace.
Corey’s parents, too, have been married for over 50 years, and so have Corey and Jen’s grandparents! So at Corey and Jen’s beautiful wedding at I-Bar Coronado, this marriage legacy was the theme: vintage photographs of these faithful couples sat on the mantle, displaying a story of deeply devoted pairs who’ve stood together through the ups and downs… always, always together.
We have been smiling alongside Corey and Jen since their adorable Presidio Park Engagement Session – and these lovebirds have a love story that makes our hearts sing! But really! We can’t stop smiling when we think of Corey serenading his bride at their reception – it brings us all back to their very first date (where he serenaded her on a street corner… YEP, it’s as adorable as it sounds!).
Jen and Corey: We are SO EXCITED FOR YOU! As you begin this new chapter together, we hope you soak in every single ordinary moment, as they really become the extraordinary moments!
