Full of autumnal shades, outdoor adventures, and absolutely adorable moments, we think that you’re going to ~fall~ in love with this Stone Brewing Liberty Station wedding from last autumn. After all, it’s not every day that we get to work with someone that we once worked with on someone else’s wedding!
Originally scheduled for an earlier date, this wedding was unfortunately pushed back by the pandemic– something I think we can all lament when we realize we could have seen this stunning wedding way earlier. When we first talked to Alex and Casey, we knew that they were going to immediately be one of the couples that we adored. A couple that fell in love over 6 years ago at Disneyland while accompanying their best friends on a double date and consistently goofing around, we knew they were the perfect fit for Clove and Kin as a couple that is happy wherever their adventure takes them, and appreciates the small moments that they share both together and with those that they love.
Magical, happy, and fun loving are three words they described their special day, but could also easily be used to describe their own relationship! Alex and Casey’s relationship seemingly thrives on adventure, whether it’s taking their engagement photos during a hike around Mt. Laguna in 40 degree weather or scrambling down Sunset Cliffs to get that picture-perfect shot during their first look before the wedding. And what a better venue to celebrate a fun, adventurous couple than a place like Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens at Liberty Station? We loved getting the chance to shoot here; after all, it’s not every day that you get a chance to take wedding portraits amongst fermentation kettles filled with delicious IPAs.
It was truly the small details that made this wedding so fun for everyone there, and us to shoot. From the stunning bouquets and florals on every table by Flora Glamor to the coordinated dance with a swing and lift that had everyone clapping, Alex and Casey were able to plan out every moment and aspect perfectly. One of the favorite things that they planned out was having a little table to themselves to enjoy a little personal time to both have their first meal (and beers) together as a couple.
Sometimes it’s the wait that makes the event even more special– and that was certainly the case for Alex and Casey’s STUNNING wedding. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Alex and Casey for letting us be a part of your special day. We absolutely adored getting to know you two throughout the process of planning, and being there to help photograph memories that will last a lifetime– after all, it’s not every day where you get to photograph both the stunning views at Sunset Cliffs AND such a perfectly coordinated Pulp-fictionesque swing during the first dance.
If you loved Alex and Casey’s wedding, see their absolutely STUNNING engagement session in Mount Laguna!
