We are having SO MUCH FUN reliving all of these wonderful weddings!
This past year, we found our photographer groove in some of our favorite venues (our couples have the best style!). We love sweet garden weddings, infused with lush florals and personal details, and this year was FULL of those. Not to mention some incredibly talented coordinators, designers, florists, bakeries, and sooo many other vendors who help to pull it all together. We’re lucky to work alongside some AMAZING creatives! #dreamteam
Since there’s so much time, thought, and numerous Pinterest inspiration boards that go into the wedding planning process, (amiright?!) we aim to capture those special details that we know you’ve worked so long and hard to put together! Today, we’re celebrating some of our favorite details from this year – and it’s making our heart go pitter-patter with inspiration!
So, let’s do it! Enjoy some of the best details of 2016! (And don’t forget to check out our other Best of 2016 posts here!)
When you spend a few moments with Jessica, it’s clear that she’s a girl with STYLE. And ohmyGOODness, we were so in love with all the romantic, soft elements that she decided on for her and Jimmy’s Darlington House wedding! Weddings by Lisa Nicole helped her pull everything together, from the incredible florals (wow-wow-wow, The Flower Shop nailed it!!), to a table full of yummy VG Donut desserts…. it was stunning! We absolutely love garden weddings, and Jessica and Jimmy’s wedding fit that style perfectly.
For Robbie and Erin’s seaside Del Mar Wedding, it was a soft collection of coral, pink, and fresh white florals against those deep dark woods that made such a lasting impression on us! I Do! Weddings and Events coordinated a lovely day full of spring-inspired details, and we are googly-eyed for those luscious florals by Franco’s Flowers. #yesplease!
Speaking of spring-inspired, we fell absolutely head-over-heels with the amount of bright colors and rich textures incorporated into Kevin and Lori’s La Jolla wedding! Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings pulled together an amazing dream-team of vendors, who gave this family a perfectly eye-popping wedding. Jennifer Cole, you outdid yourself in this fabulous bouquet, and we adore this whimsical table – a perfect place to eat some delicious Dessertier cake! LOVE!
Mark and Jen’s mellow and relaxed beach wedding at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club was perfectly reflective of this gentle couple’s vibe – effortlessly gorgeous! Luxe Events designed the day to be warm and inviting, and these florals designed by Annette Gomez couldn’t have fit the bill ANY better! And have you SEEN that luscious dessert table?! Michele Coulon of Dessertier absolutely naaaaailed it!
The lovely continues with Taylor and Raquel’s gorgeous Rancho Valencia wedding! Annette Gomez created a floral design with deep burgundy and romantic reds to bring warmth to the day, Merilee of Ever After Events styled their glowing reception, and Michele Coulon of Dessertier crafted a cake fit for royalty. These details have us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside!
Blush lovers, rejoice!! Katie and David’s L’Auberge Del Mar wedding was the best balance of bling and blush, and the blue skies by the sea made the day that much better! Jennifer Cole designed every dreamy pink floral — could that arbor be any more PERFECT?! From the centerpieces, to the linens, to the cake, this wedding screeaaaamed elegance and we’re so, so, so in LOVE!
With the help of Wynn Austin Events, Mandy’s vision of a romantic, drapey, soft blush and gold wedding came to LIFE in the most beautiful way! Those chairs, that arbor, OH MY!! (You killed it, Annette Gomez!) If you haven’t already seen Mandy and Anson’s Paradise Point wedding, you’ll definitely want to — it was gooorrrgeous!!
For Nico and Megan’s Green Gables Estate wedding, everything was wintry and WONDERFUL! Megan’s multi-talented mother put together this glowing reception, complete with a stunning cookie spread. Our favorite personal touch was the collection of home-brewed beers, created by Nico himself. SO fun! And if his brewing abilities aren’t already cool enough, we love that each beer was given an archery-themed name as an ode to the way Nico and Megan met.
Shannon and Rob are one seriously classy couple, and their Grand Del Mar wedding did NOT disappoint. From top to bottom, this cozy December wedding was covered in sparkling elegance, and each little detail made for a stunning, inviting party! We have Lindsay Dean Events to thank for so many of these amazing details — she created an atmosphere that felt just as warm as this couple and their families.
