In a sea of ruffles, lace, and too many necklines to count, it can be overwhelming to choose the dresses that are just right for your sweet bridesmaids. Does anyone else immediately think of 27 Dresses when it comes to this matter?!
Here at Clove & Kin, we can’t get enough of sweet and lovely garden weddings! But we also believe that celebrating amongst the flowers doesn’t mean you can’t get dressed to the nines! It can be tough to find beautiful dresses to flatter each of your best gals while also complementing your environment, but our seriously stylish brides have totally proven it’s possible.
To provide some inspiration, we simply had to share some of our favorite looks from our bridesmaids over the years!
First, we just LOVE dresses with a little bit of movement — perfect for an outdoor wedding! Kelly’s girls were adorable in these sky-blue dresses at her and Eli’s Walnut Grove wedding. Those flirty capped sleeves add such a feminine touch – so cute! The ruffle in the sleeves, airy fabric, and sweet tie in the back makes for the perfect classy, yet not-too-formal dress that suits a garden reception.
At her Darlington House Wedding, Jessica opted for this pretty periwinkle for her girls, and what an elegant group it was! We love how the soft purple looked contrasted with her white and green florals!
For a really soft, natural look, we LOVE LOVE LOVE these understated green bridesmaids dresses. Meredith and Evan’s vineyard wedding was all-things-outdoors, so these dresses were PERFECT!
Don’t Be Afraid…
… of COLOR! You certainly don’t need to shy away from vibrant colors for your garden wedding – we love how deep jewel tones POP against the serene setting! Julie chose these deep fuchsia dresses for her gals at their Sheraton Carlsbad Wedding, and it was the perfect shade! Mixed with other bold tones of pinks and lots of greenery in her florals, these ladies were the epitome of elegance!
50 Shades of Blush
An ensemble of mix-and-match shades and styles is a fun way to let your girls show some personality! Katie’s girls looked beautiful in their floor-length chiffon dresses at her L’Auberge Del Mar Wedding, and we love that each girl had their own choice of sparkle and neckline!
At Katie and Kinbo’s Summit House Wedding, each bridesmaid was dressed in various shades of pink – which mirrored her florals oh-so-beautifully!
Neutral does NOT equal Boring!
It’s so important that the bridesmaids dresses complement the most important fashion statement of the day — the wedding dress! But that doesn’t mean the bridesmaids need to be drab – even the most subtle colors can be exciting with the right unique touches!
Stephanie had her girls choose champagne dresses in styles that suited their personalities – and we LOVE the variety that resulted! Soft touches of lace, sparkle, and silvery detail were the perfect glam additions to their Santa Barbara Wedding. Love, love, love!
Mandy’s vision for a soft, romantic wedding day at Paradise Point meant super-soft colors for her bridesmaids. But she brought the visual interest with just the right variety in soft hues! From soft blush to soft champagne, these colors were so lovely with their beautiful white bouquets!
Black is a No Brainer!
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again — you can’t go wrong with black! It’s timeless, it’s classic, and it will elevate your wedding’s elegance factor x10!
Shannon’s lovely ladies looked stunning in their full-length black dresses at her Grand Del Mar Wedding. The best part? Each of her girls chose their own black dress to match their own personality and body type, so they each looked their VERY best! We love the variety in neck lines and fits, and we’re sure these gals will have a reason to pull out this dress again and again!
Our brides have simply the most stylish, beautiful taste, so we HAD to share. We hope that you’ve found a bit of inspiration for your own bridesmaids dresses, too!
